Viikonloppuna aika jotenkin katosi, yo-kirjoitukset unohtuivat (ainakin osaksi aikaa) ja minä olin onnellinen. Ja maailmasta on tullut kovin syksyisen näköinen aivan silmieni edessä, enkä minä ollut sitä huomannut.

The time just passed at the weekend, I forgot matriculation exams (at least for a bit) and I was happy. And the world has turned out to look so autumnal right in front of my eyes and I haven't even noticed.

Tuo päivä oli ehkä yksi kesän viimeisistä. Syksy tuli taas kerran aivan yllättäen, puista tippuvia lehtiä, villapaitakelit ja neljä leppäkerttua samassa ikkunassa. Auringonlasku kahdeksan aikaan illalla ja pimeää yhdeksältä. Pidän syksystä ajatuksena, mutten ole varma pidänkö siitä aivan konkreettisesti. Kesä meni ohi liian nopeasti.

That day was probably one of the last summer days. Autumn came so suddenly again, leaves falling from trees, sweater weather and four ladybugs in the same window. The sunset at eight in the evening and the darkness at nine. I like autumn as an idea but I'm not sure if I like it as a concrete thing. The summer went past too quickly.
